What is RFID?
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), in particular RAIN RFID, provides an automated mechanism for asset tracking and inventory management.
Want to take inventory in minutes instead of days? That’s RFID. - Carl Brown
RFID consists of small tags the size of a band-aid. Each tag has a unique identifier. Tags are attached to items. Using an RFID Antenna, 100's of tags respond every second to confirm they are there. Tags can be read through plastics and cardboard to take counts inside packages.
RFID reduces cycle counts from days to minutes. RFID provides supply chain operational visibility. And, it does this all for pennies per item with tags that last forever.
